Sus-IT Project

In my continuing campaign to help older people to get the benefits of computing I have often been invited to speak of my own experiences. Recently I was asked to open a Google hosted event where I met Yunqi Li, one of a group of academics working at Loughborough University UK who asked me to deliver the same speech to them.

Their project Is named Sus – IT and it’s aims are to develop software that can be accessed by the user which will monitor the actions taken by the user when operating their computer. From this data the software will recognise difficulties that the user is experiencing and automatically bring up solutions in an easy and pictorial way to give help in the form of tasks and instruction.

I have never had the opportunity to film myself before so the following videos are an account of that. I apologise for the poor quality, partly due to prevailing lighting and sound conditions and partly due to the quality of the camera and my set up.
